Since his time as a deckhand he has owned and operated several vessels including the F/V Tontine, which he has owned for 31 years to date. He has fished for groundfish, bluefin tuna, striped bass and more in his over 40 years of experience on the ocean. Captain Matt has also been working on charter and party boats since he was a teenager and is entering his 17th season working on the ocean. He has also fished for most species the northern atlantic has to offer including groundfish, bluefin tuna, and striped bass. Fishing is captain Matt's full time profession and he is the primary captain aboard the F/V Tontine. Our current deck boss position belongs to Matt the mate who is on his 13th year working on the ocean. He provides the best quality service you can hope to find in a deckhand!
